Rudy Wallman received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Waterloo in 1979. After interning with the office of Arthur Erickson in Toronto, he began his own practice in 1982, its current version Wallman Architects was established in 2006.

He often represents projects at design review panels across Canada and is an inaugural member of the newly established City of Markham Design Review Panel.
