An extremely small site with an existing heritage structure accommodates a skyscraper near the intersection of Yonge and Bloor. The lower levels are carefully calibrated to provide an entrance lobby, retail uses, amenity spaces, a loading dock and access to a car elevator. The heritage structure is refurbished to its original condition and becomes part of a new two-storey retail component. A distinctive herring-bone pattern of metal panels is applied to the exterior of the tower to set it apart from the plethora of tall buildings in the area.
