On a long-derelict site at Front and Sherbourne, this project is a major addition to a quickly emerging neighbourhood that includes the new Globe and Mail headquarters. The massing is arranged in two parallel bars that step down from a height of 29 storeys along Front to 10 stories along the Esplanade. The landmark open space of the St. Lawrence neighbourhood is continued into the site between the bars to allow full pedestrian access across the property. Retail uses line the Front and Sherbourne frontages with townhouses facing Princess Street and into the central courtyard. The stepped profile of the bars provides spectacular roof-top terraces with views of the East Bayfront District and Lake Ontario.
